Meet our Coaches

Abigail Austin
they/she
Abby is the founding coach of Red Panda Muay Thai in Seattle, WA. A world traveling musician, community organizer, fighter, and AFA Battle Cat Class world title holder.
With 11 ring fights on both the European and American continents, Abby has the lived experience of being a shorter, heavier fighter, which set them on a path of developing in-fighting styles tailored for countering larger/taller opponents. While her identity as a queer/trans person opened her eyes towards the need for ethical training spaces, a lifetime in the leftist community organizing and DIY punk provided them with skills to create and foster autonomous spaces.
After a decade of experience training Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, K1, and traditional boxing around the world, Abby brings a truly unique set of skills and infectious enthusiasm to every gym environment. Her commitment to confronting and untangling the most toxic elements of our hierarchical culture and extensive experience in the fight game informs her one of a kind coaching style.

Bex Lukac

Meet Bex – Muay Thai Coach, Quiet Powerhouse, and Popcorn Enthusiast With over 16 years of Muay Thai experience—including time training in Thailand—and 7 years as a coach, Bex blends deep technical knowledge with an unwavering commitment to inclusivity. Their sessions are grounded in tradition but built for real people, creating space for anyone to grow—no matter your background, body, or experience level.
Bex is a certified official with both the World Kickboxing Association (WKA) and USA Muay Thai, bringing a 360-degree understanding of the sport to their coaching. Whether you’re stepping into the ring or just starting out, you’ll find Bex’s style is adaptive, encouraging, and deeply respectful.
As a queer, non-binary coach, Bex is passionate about making Muay Thai a welcoming place for everyone. They lead with quiet strength and a sharp sense of humor—often the most soft-spoken person in the room until the perfect meme or comeback drops. Once you get to know them, you’ll realize Bex brings as much joy and silliness to the gym as they do discipline and focus.
They believe Muay Thai isn’t just for fighters—it’s for anyone who wants to feel strong, grounded, and unapologetically themselves.
Also, their favorite color is purple. And their favorite food is popcorn. Obviously.
